I developed a problem about 10 days ago and just haven't felt like fixing it yet. Now a relative living in another state asked for help with the exact same problem, so I can't put it off any longer. Here's what's happening. Without any warning (we are both using Apple Mail) we can't send email through our local ISP's smtp. We can both still send through .mac, however. The confusing part is that the connection doctor says that the connection is fine for the local ISP, yet when we try to send an email, we get the dreaded error message "cannot send message using the server . . . ."

Can anyone help get two households up and running again? Thanks in advance for your help!
