iOS Snap in line, storyboard

How do I prevent the snap to grid nature of object placement, in storyboard? I just want to align something freehand and it's driving me nuts.

Actually, CMD doesn't work. Holding CMD allows you to see through an object and look at the underlying objects. Unfortunately, as soon as you let go of CMD, the object moves to the closed guideline that was previously displayed.

Any ideas?
