Photo sharing app Snapchat has been updated to version 8.1.0, bringing full support for the larger screens of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The update also includes improved captions with the ability to change the colors of special text, and the ability to stack filters by holding a photo in place with one finger and swiping it to add another filter.

Snapchat saw its last major update in November, which brought a new "Snapcash" money transfer feature built-in to the chat function. The service also launched a "Snapchat Stories" feature in October that allows users to add photos and videos to a news feed that expire after 24 hours.

Snapchat is a free app for iOS devices and can be downloaded from the App Store. [Direct Link]

About time.

It was the last one of my most used apps that needed to be updated for the 6/6+

Important to note that the mentioned "Snapchat Stories" that launched in October, was October 2013, over a year ago.

Editor might have intended to write about the feature where you can send images & video revolving around a major event to a globally-accessible snapchat story.

Finally! It still bugs me to use apps that don't fit this screen size, and Snapchag was one of then

The real question is, can I remove "Team SnapChat" from my friends list? I deleted the "Team SnapChat" but I still get spam from "Team SnapChat" on almost weekly basis.

Didn't know you were forced to use it..

I send pics every day to my friends. No need to take a pic and send it through text. Much easier and simpler.
What's easier and simpler about it? Just curious, since taking and sending a picture through text is fairly easy and simple as well.

Has Snapchat improved their security at all?
What security issues have they had recently? Again, just curious.

Well if I want to send the same pic to multiple friends, I can do that easily with a few simple steps rather than starting separate conversations just to share a pic.

i get that I can make a group chat but I have different circles of friends so that's out of the question.
