snapfish uploading

i've read somewhere on here about creating a zip file to put photo's in for a quicker upload to snapfish. i'm really new to this. if photo's are zipped will the quality be forever changed? probably. i'm having a horrible time uploading to snapfish. i wish there was a better way without losing high resolution. thanks
