Hey All,
I am getting an error in Disk Utility on my internal HD that I cannot for the life of me get to clear despite all of the reading as to what to do. Here is what comes up:
Running First Aid on “Container disk2”
Verifying the startup volume will cause this computer to stop responding.
Verifying storage system
Using live mode.
Performing fsck_apfs -n -x -l /dev/disk1s2
Checking the container superblock.
Checking the fusion superblock.
Checking the EFI jumpstart record.
Checking the space manager.
Checking the space manager free queue trees.
Checking the object map.
Checking the Fusion data structures.
Checking volume.
Checking the APFS volume superblock.
The volume Macintosh HD - Data was formatted by hfs_convert (1412.81.1) and last modified by apfs_kext (1677.60.23).
Checking the object map.
Checking the snapshot metadata tree.
Checking the snapshot metadata.
Checking snapshot 1 of 8 (com.apple.TimeMachine.2022-04-08-110940.local)
error: directory valence check: directory (oid 0xc0043): nchildren (2) does not match drec count (0)
warning: snapshot fsroot/file key rolling tree corruptions are not repaired; they'll go away once the snapshot is deleted
error: btn: invalid btn_nkeys (195)
Snapshot is invalid.
The volume /dev/disk1s2 could not be verified completely.
Storage system check exit code is 0.
Operation successful.
This error won't let me update my OS to the newest version, and after about of week backing up in TimeMachine, it gives me an error and says it can't back up.
I am currently running:
iMac Retina 5K, 27-Inch
Processor 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memory 64 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Startup Disk Macintosh HD (3.15TB Fusion Drive)
Graphics Radeon Pro 580 8 GB
Big Sur 11.1
Any help would be much appreciated.
