1) They're very unlikely to have gotten their hands on a 3G iPhone yet, so it'd dhave to be a v1 iPhone
2) Till it's all golden, it will be preview of the 2.0 software.
(e.g. Zibri has a copy)

They do mess up understanding what push means though lol - by saying you can change your time interval for push email.... say whaaat?

its just one of he last beta's of 2.0. The article misquotes it as the iphone 3g software though it'll be available for v1 of the iphone of as well.

I was about to say the camera looks like it is a lot better quality, but I remembered this is the first gen iPhone. But still, there is a possibility that the software could improve it somewhat.

I don't think he felt he 'needed' to be out of focus, it's the small DOF used when taking the photo.
