SNES 30 Bluetooth controller, will it work?

Is there a restriction on remotes you can use with the Apple TV? Can I use the SNES30 controller? If it works with an iPad running IOS 9 it should work with the Apple TV... but if you want to be 100$ sure make sure its mFI certified...

Mine doesn't work, but I'm not sure if the controller works in general either. It would not even come up to pair on the ATV4, while my PS4 controller paired, but wouldn't do anything.

As wlossw said, I don't see why it shouldn't work, but its just not working for me right now.

I also finally heard back from the manufacturer and they confirmed they were NOT compatible with the new Apple TV. Their suggestion was to Mirror my iPhone to play it on the TV.
