"Snow" AirPort Extreme and external Hard drive HELP!!! (please)

I was just given a new (old) Snow Airport Extreme base station, it doesnt natively allow a drive to be hooked up to its USB drive and used as a network drive. Does anyone know of some work around to get this to work? or is it absolutely impossible?

AFAIK, impossible.

The firmware simply doesn't contain the code to deal with sharing external drives over the network.
