Hello,
I have a small 5 computer LAN setup running at 100 mbps.
The computers are either windows 7 or OS X Snow Leopard. The main computer is a Windows 7 PC setup in RAID. This computer is hosting the file share.
When i share files Windows 7 -> Windows 7 the transfer rate is 10-13 MB/s.
When i share files Windows 7 -> OS X Snow Leopard the transfer rate is only 4 MB/s. This is a significantly slower process, especially when backing up....
I decided to try hosting a file share on one of the OS X Snow Leopard PC's.
When i share OS X Snow Leoaprd -> Windows 7 the transfer rate is 10-13 MB/s.
When i share OS X Snow Leoaprd -> OS X Snow Leoaprd the transfer rate is 10-13 MB/s.
This has solved the problem, however i want the file share to be on the Windows 7 PC because of the RAID.
Does anyone know how i can fix the OS X file transfer rate when i host the file share on the Windows 7 PC? I have tried many hints/tips and none have solved the problem.
Thanks,
-Mike
