I've been thinking I might give iLife'09 a whirl.

I have a late 2008 24" and 20" iMac (plus a couple of older (5 year old) Mac Pros), not this year's hardware updates.

I many use my Mac for non-animated graphic design (with CS4) plus other mundane stuff.

Can any one see a benefit for me waiting to Snow Leopard to come out?

I don't think 10.6 will have much to offer me over 10.5. Anyone disagree?

I could by the OS X/iLife/iWork suite when S-L is relased for the same price as buying iLife I work now separately.

Snow Leopard will have increased speed. And if designing is what makes your money, then speed is of a matter. There has been a lot of tweaking under the hood. So for me (video editing) it's a benefit to get snow leopard.

(I don't know however whether snowleopard will have influence on the speed of CS4 as CS4 is already using GPU acceleration and has increased speed).
