Snow Leopard 10.6 imminent now 10.5.8 released - just waiting for 10.5.9...

It's the Mirror - tech journalist? I don't think they have anyone on their staff who can properly be called a journalist. The fact that they have someone who can actually spell 'Leopard' correctly and know that nine comes after eight is much more than one can reasonably expect from them.
 
There will not necessarily be a 10.5.9... for example, there was no 10.2.9. 10.2.8 was the last Jaguar release.

I'm also thinking that there might be a 10.5.9 sometime after Snow Leopard is released, or even a 10.5.10 or 10.5.11 (just like Tiger).
 
Wow, that article is embarrassing. Somebody needs to tell them that software point releases don't follow the same rules as math. :\
