It seems that this is something a lot of people were doing, but now with home sharing, it seems to be broken. Home sharing won't work in my case because my iTunes music is on an Airport Disk. Has anyone figured out if it's possible to still have an iTunes library on an Airport disk with one central music library xml file? Having this setup allows me to a) have one repository of music, b) to load the same library from both of my computers (not at the same time) and not have to update the library on one when music has been added with the other.

I don't have enough disk space on either machine for all this music, and my external drive is partitioned for use also as my backup for both, which is why it's on Airport. The old file alias solutions don't seem to work on iTunes 9 with 10.6.1 . Any ideas?

Thanks!
