Basically, I am wondering if I will lose anything by switching to the built in font-management. I have tried a couple programs which have plug-ins for Adobe, but I don't understand the necessity of these plug-ins and whether it would be best to just use OS X's Font Book instead.

I had been happily using Suitcase Fusion 2 with 10.5 with only one problem: Microsoft Word took 5 minutes to start. Fine. However, with 10.6, the program's auto-activation has been extremely unreliable.

I have now removed Suitcase Fusion and installed Font Explorer X Pro. This program's auto-activation also seems unreliable and it doesn't recognize that there are activated fonts in my library and asks me if I want to activate them. Microsoft Word opens in 10 seconds now, but the auto-activation with Font Explorer is even more annoying than before for anything except Adobe InDesign.
