Hi, I recently received a magic mouse as a gift and set it up to work with my 2006 model MacBook. Everything works great on it but I could not install BetterTouchTool without Snow Leopard. I had Snow Leopard but never installed it yet. During the installation of SL, it did not ask me for a clean install or archive and install or anything like that so that was kind of weird.

Once using SL, everything seems to be fine. However, my 2 finger swipe on my magic mouse seems to not work anymore. Does this have anything to do with the BetterTouchTool? I know many people have complained about the magic mouse and the swiping, but does the BetterTouchTool affect this in anyway?

Now the boot time for my computer takes forever. It takes around 7 minutes from the time I hear the boot sound until the login screen appears. I tried resetting PRAM already but that didn't work. I did not hear the second beep after the first initial one. Some people say to do a clean install of Snow Leopard and this will be fixed. Is there a way to fix this without a clean install? And if I had to clean install, is there a way just to wipe it out and restore from a timemachine backup? Or would that not work? Please give me some advice on both SL and the magic mouse. Thank you.
