Guys, I'm a getting SL tomorrow and I need your help with a couple of questions - I just don't seem to be able to get clear answers anywhere else.

1. SL will give me the option to install over Leopard. This means that files and apps presently on my computer will remain intact, correct? (Input from those who upgraded this way will be greatly appreciated - any hiccups?)

2. I also have the option to do a clean install. I can use SL migration assistant to restore my old system from a Time machine backup, correct? Will this restore applications too? (Or do I have to reinstall everything?)

3. Regardless of which way I choose to upgrade, my boot camp partition will remain intact, correct?

I hope these are not extremely stupid questions  ! Thanks in advance for all your replies!

no replies? :((((( maybe the questions were plain stupid then?

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. Yes, as long as you don't erase the boot camp partition :p

1. Yes (not ideal though). Clean install is the way to go.

2. Yes, Time Machine restore will work. Yes, you can restore apps from time machine.

3. Yes, bootcamp is a completely separate partition and will remain intact.

aaa! This makes things so much easier! Feel better now, thanks so much! :)

Now I have to wait until SL reaches me from...holland!
