I have two Macs attached to one LaCie Ethernet Drive. The Mac running Leopard 10.5.8 is able to display all of the disk contents correctly. The Mac running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 fails to display the contents of one particular folder although the contents are definitely there. If I try to copy from a backup I have to the Snow Leopard Mac, the Finder tells me the files already exist. Very odd! The only difference I can see is if I do 'Get Info' on the affected folder. On the Leopard one there are two owners - one is 'Unknown' with Read/Write access. The other is 'Everyone' with No Access. However, on the Snow Leopard Mac there is only one owner displayed in 'Get Info' - 'Everyone' with No Access.
I hate Snow Leopard so much. It has caused me more problems than any other previous system update. I fear it is going to become Apple's equivalent of Windows Vista unless they do something about all these bugs.
