It seems Snow Leopard breaks most of the 3rd party screensavers that are out there. How can I fix this? Can i run just the screensavers in 32 bit mode?

Have you tried contacting the makers of the screensavers? they might have an update available for SL. At least check their websites.

It's not uncommon for 3rd party addons to break when a new OS version shows up.

i have, but to no avail. any other suggestions on how to get them to work?

I don't understand this at all. Last night I had Skyrocket running then rebuilt my machine and get that pop up warning. I had many working last night and now nothing.

Also, how the heck do you get rid of the "pictures" in there?

I found that when I opened System Preferences in 32-bit mode all my previously-disabled screensavers worked fine. :) Find System Preferences in the Applications folder, Get Info (cmd-I) and tick "Open in 32-bit mode".
