I have a Iomega NAS drive that has been working superbly with Leopard but now I can't seem to connect to it via Finder in Snow Leopard!! I know it's not the drive because I was able to fire up Windows 7 in VMWare Fusion and I mounted it in 2 seconds. I've tried with a password with no password but it refuses to connect. This is absolutely unacceptable as I use this drive a lot and I can't believe they would break something so fundamental.

Anyone have any troubleshooting or workaround techniques when running into Samba problems?

UPDATE: Nevermind, looks like it just started working after I connected to it from the Windows drive. Now OSX can mount it too. Bizzarre. Who knew.

i don't have a answer for you but I can tell you smb shares is working ok for me, I have a fileserver running Win7 and 10.6 has no issues connecting to it.

Doing time machine backups to it is a different story though!
