I was thinking of doing a clean install of Snow Leopard.

I back up via Time Machine to a Time Capsule.

If I do a clean install, do I then just open Time Machine and then choose restore from the last backup or is not that simple.

Please help, thought I am no Mac noob I've never done this before.

When the install has finished, there comes a windows asking would you like to migrate your data from other Mac or from external hard drive, choose external hard drive and attach it and let Migration Assistant do its magics.

Hmm I may consider doing this?

Anyone know of time scales. I have a 250GB HDD in my macbook, and have 200 free so as you see I don't have a packed HDD.

Would it reinstall all my Apps like iLife 09, iWork 09 MS Office etc?
