After reading the front page of macrumors it says that Snow Leopard is expected in Q1 2009, so thats within the next 3 and a half months.

Will apple simply announce it on one day and thats that, or will there be a big spectacle about it.

Since i only moved to mac a few months ago i dont really know what goes on when a new OS is released, but im looking forward to taking advantage of the graphics cards processing power:-D
 
There is usually at least one feature keynote about the new operating system.
