Ok, So I have heard what others are saying , but I just want to be sure, I have a Late 2009 White Macbook (Feb. 4, 2009). It is running Leopard 2GB RAM, 64 BIT, 120 HD, BLUETOOTH, ECT. I was curious if my Macbook will be able to run Snow Leopard because some people say it needs 4GB RAM and I can replace my ram, but I really just want to run it smoothly on my macbook. Please Help~Thanks

Google

I dont remeber I was just looking around google and people were saying it needs 4GB Ram, but I don't think that's right. It was only one site.

Why would they make a new OS that doesn't work on baseline models of macbooks and macbook pros and won't work on any macbook airs???

Needs or wants? I can't imagine it wanting 4gigs, 2gigs maybe, to run at optimal performance. The mac mini comes with 1GB now and I can't see that getting an update before SL.

wuh, 2009 is over already?

You will be fine. Snow Leopard is a highly optimised version of Leopard, it won't be any more (maybe less) demanding then what you are running at the moment.

Good

Good Point 1GB Will probably the minimum performance , 2GB Medium Performance , and 4GB Will be maxium (well not maximum) , but very good and apple probably wont update there MBA, MB, and MM before Snow Leopard which could be released any day now.... :apple:

2GB will provide optimal performance, not just medium. This is of course, for regular users. I have 2 gigs installed right now and Im sure SL will run pretty dang close to how leopard runs on my machine. I'm quite confident that any difference will only be for the better.

Seeing as they just bumped the white MacBooks -it's an early 2009. It will run with less than 4GB RAM.
