Snow Leopard Disk Question

I got SL some months back and loaded on my MBP which already had OS X. The disk/box doesn't say anything about it being a full version or an upgrade.

If I formatted my HDD, could I just load SL as a full install?

If you purchased it retail, then it is a full Install version, so you can install to a blank drive.
