I had some video files in xVid format that don't seem to work anymore since upgrading to Snow Leopard. They play fine in VLC, but cannot run in Quicktime (and thus Front Row) anymore.
Anyone else having this problem?
I take it that you don't have QuickTime 7 installed. It is optional install on the Snow Leopard distribution DVD. Install it. That shouldnt be necessary. XviDs are working fine for me with QTX + Perian, no QT7 installed.
Hmm. I do have perian installed. But it's left over from the Leopard installation. Perhaps I'll try reinstalling it.
Is this a DivX file you know has played in QT+Perian previously? Sometimes certain files will play in VLC that are not handled properly by QT+Perian.
