Im EVERYWHERE!
Hey
I just noticed today when i was trying to use this, did Snow leopard erase all my finder automator plugins? I used to beable to right click images on desktop and using automator menu rename and convert images but now its all gone! anyone know how to get that back? it was REALLY useful

Automator plug-in have turn into services

Hi

It seems that they changed automator plug-ins to these new services.

I had similar image conversion workflow and in snow leopard it had to be rebuild. When you start new Automator choose ´services´ for new template. Then you´ll see that the selection method is now some how integrated on top of the workflow routine. There is drop down menu where you tell what kind of selection data you want handle. Change that into files and folders (my version is in Finnish so I don't see hat is it in english.)

Then you just simply add a ´Change picture type´ action under that selection, change picture type exp. to JPG and save it. The name which you gave will appear like old times in right click menu.

These new services seems to appear right on the root of the right click menu. Which is good I think. I was pretty tired to wonder around the path /more/automator/workflow.

Ok! Hope that helps.

The actually service file will be saved in user library folder. Under that there is a new service folder.

BTW. Anyone know how to connect these services to keyboard shortcuts?
