I have a brand-new, 15" MacBook Pro that I popped the Snow Leopard disc into, and it's been stuck at 6 mins remaining for HOURS. It was originally supposed to take 45 minutes, then it jumped to 57 minutes and went down with increasing slowness from there. It went from 7 to 6 in about 80 minutes, but now it's just getting ridiculous (been at 6 for well over two hours). :(

The guy from Apple's support line said pull the plug and see what happens (aka, hold down the power button) but I'd REALLY rather not take a risk like that. Midway through an operating system install, that seems like one heck of a bonehead move to make... Any ideas other than that?
