Snow Leopard HD Icon missing

Hey,

I did a fresh install of Snow Leopard last night and for some reason my hard drive desktop icon is gone and I can't seem to get it back. I've tried going into the iMac folder and dragging to the desktop without any luck.

Anyone have any ideas?

Go to Finder, Finder menu, preferences, general, tick hard disks.

In finder preferences is the 'Hard disks' box checked?
