In prior iterations, Software Update used to tell you which updates were available immediately if you launched it manually. Now in Snow Leopard, you have to click the Show Details button to get the detailed overview even when launching manually.
I'm one of those people that used to manually launch Software Update just because I hated that screen that now appears automatically in Snow Leopard. Just seems like a wholly unnecessary change, and I'd like to eliminate the button press. Any way to get the old functionality back, via a Terminal hack or otherwise?
