Snow Leopard Login Apps Trouble

OK, so i use apps like sparrow and sizeup.... i downloaded them. i went to preferences and set them to open at login. and then i used my computer normally. next day when i log back in, they dont open! Whats wrong?

Delete and re-add them to your login items.
