Hello,

I hope someone can sort this out, searching online only brings up MacOS X Vs. Windows 7 junk.

I may not be as skilled in searching as I thought I was so I am asking for any help you guys could be so gracious to offer me.

My problem is this:

I am running MacOS X 10.6.1, everything is updated, nothing is missing. On MacMini 2006 and MacBook Pro (PreUnibody), none of the windows in Snow Leopard reacts to the green button to collapse the window as it should.

In iTunes it doesn't collapse it into a small remote control thing, in iChat as it's uploading an image and there's room bellow once the ones have been cleared, the collapse window doesn't react.

I've zapped the PRAM, ran permissions check, did restarts... nothing...

Any idea what this anomaly is?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and have a great weekend.
:)

The green button is called Zoom.
It's supposed to make the window size match the content size.

That's about all there is to it.

I don't know about iChat or other applications but the green button is now supposed to work that way with iTunes 9.0, I believe. There's an option for the mini player somewhere in the view menu, though I could be wrong

Ouch Option click?

:(

Sorry for the missed terminology guys.. I just didn't know what it did other than the things I got used to. ;)

But thank you all for replying. :)

Hi Lyra,
I used the iTunes green Zoom button all the time too..

I've found it's quicker to use command shift M (for Mini player) rather than hitting the control key at the same time as the green button.

Goes with command shift C for the Colour menu ~ only for the apps that use it though :)
