just curious from what I've heard Snow Leopard lacks the drivers (kexts) for the rMBP but I wonder because almost any pc can be a mackintosh and hackintosh's can use injection kexts, or efi strings etc. and other types of drivers
has anyone it been able to hack snow leopard to work on the retina MacBook Pro?

thanks

Nope, won't work.

The only way to run Snow Leopard on a retina Macbook Pro is via running Snow Leopard Server in a virtual machine. It cannot natively run on it.

Even though it seems kind of pointless, I think that's a really interesting technical challenge. You might have better luck delving into the Hackintosh community. I think it's going to be more difficult than on a PC because Macs are so locked down.
