Is anyone runninf SL on those original macbooks (I have the 2 ghz CD, it runs tiger well, but was going to upgrade). Is it too slow on that machine?

Running great on my 2GHz Core Duo MacBook Pro. Just make sure you have at least 1GB of RAM as that is Snow Leopard's required minimum.

Runs great on my CD 2.0 ghz macbook.

Just having 1 issue after the 10.6.3 update though (screen stays completely dim after putting it to sleep most of the time - have to put it to sleep using the task bar at the top and wake it again for it to brighten)

i'm running leopard, which itself runs a ton better than tiger on my 2ghz macbook white [2006]... seen tremendous improvements esp. in finder and spotlight speeds

sl is faster than leopard, so I doubt you'll have any issues with speed

Another MacBook1,1 user here. 2GHz, 1GB RAM.
Snow Leopard feels really snappy, I didn't regret upgrading. Couldn't live without QuickLook anymore.
