It seems mine has gone to "Prepared or Shipment" I am in Clifton Hill, Australia. It still says Ships: September though. Dont know what apple is doing.

I'm thinking we're going to hear about boxes showing up at Apple stores that are labeled "Don't open until August 28." They're not going to announce a pre-order for it from Apple but it will be available in store and online on Friday.

Yeah, I think that's exactly it. Because of the nature of Snow Leopard, not having tons of new fancy features for all end users, they may have decided not to do pre-ordering and just have it available when it is.

Yep, it's something for us that really, really want the boost but most people will be fine with Leopard.
