Since upgrading to Snow Leopard several months ago, I seem to have no end to problems with profiles. Basically, it seems that after a few days of using a profile, I suddenly lose the ability to make changes within my profile. Examples of this can include something as simple as changing my wallpaper (nothing happens when trying to select new wallpaper), to updating a piece of software (updates continually fail, and prompt me to update again).

I have tried creating a new profile, restoring my image from Time Machine, and evening trying a fresh install of Snow Leopard. Each time I try any of these, it seems like I get about 2 to 3 days of usage before the same problems crop up again. I have also tried checking and repairing permissions in the disk utility, but everything always seems to check out.

Before upgrading to Snow Leopard, everything worked just fine. Since upgrading, I haven't been able to shake this issue. Does anyone out there have any suggestions I can try? I apologize if this issue has already been discussed. I did a quick search for it, but could not find anything.

Thank you in advance for your help!
