Snow Leopard Restore USB on Black Macbook

I've been meaning to restore my black Macbook to factory fresh. Will the SL USB that came with the Air work with my time-machine backup?

Asking to be sure. It would be terrible to be halfway through a wipe only to find out something wasn't compatible.

Restore disks are model specific.

That USB restore drive will only work on a Macbook Air of the same model it came with.
