Snow Leopard, Safari, PDF issue

After installing Snow Leopard pdf's from the web will not open in preview. I get a dark gary screen. Seems to be a Safari problem, will open fine with FireFox and Opera. Apple care had be back up with Time Machine, wipe disc and re-install and recover from Time Machine. Same issue. My Mac Book works fine.

Did you try to preview a PDF after your clean install of SL and before you migrated your data from the Time Machine backup? If not, it's possible that you merely migrated the initial problems back again.
