Hi, once I upgraded to Snow Leopard I noticed that my shut down was very fast, about 2 seconds. Now all of a sudden it takes 10-15 seconds to shut down. Any idea why this now takes so long??

Cheers

Ah think I've solved it. I had the McAfee anti virus installed (says its SL compatible) I guess its always running in the background even if its not obvious. I uninstalled it and now my Mac is much faster, including shut down! :D

Why did you have that antivirus junk installed in the first place?

Must of been an impulse download lol, learnt my lesson though...never put anti virus software on a Mac!
