I noticed my mac was taking too long to boot up; one minute for the apple logo appear. After the usual 30 seconds.
The problem was because I tried to enable 64bit kernel in my Macbook 4,1 model. When I put back to 32 bit the boot went back to 30 seconds.
My processor and EFI is 64bit compatible but not my intel GMA graphic card. I think 10.6.2 update will enable 64 bit kernel.
Anyways, here's a application to enable/disable 64bit kernel. It's a nice freeware app. A verbose mode is included (in case you want to see whats happening while booting).
