Hi all, ever since upgrading to Snow Leopard (from Tiger), my Spotlight function has been very inconsistent. Often a search for an application will not show the application in results (although it can find the Applications folder itself), but sometimes search works perfectly, for the same application. I've only noticed this happening with applications, although it may be happening with other files (I just search for applications most often).

Reindexing hasn't helped, and I don't think it's an indexing problem, because of the fact that sometimes it can find applications with no problem.

This is true for all kinds of applications, including system programs like Calculator or Photo Booth.

This forum has been wonderful in the past as far as having already answered problems I'm having, but I haven't been able to track down anyone with this specific issue! Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
