Alright I have forever used Snow leopard
What is the easiest way to smooth into Lion when I end up buying it?
Or will I have to install everything that I have...?
Please shed some light thanks!

You'll download Lion from the Mac App Store and install it. If all goes well (which I think it should because I have yet to hear of a faulty Lion installation where all data was lost) all your files and most of your preferences will stay the same.

Snow Leopard may turn out to be, the last & best of OS X, as a pure desktop operating system. Ver 10.6.5 being the last rev before being diluted with gimmicks like the Mac App Store, who's sole purpose is to fatten the coffers of Apple.

Lion... a domestic ***** cat designed for novices.

Nope. None of that for me. I'm too busy enjoying 10.6.5.

This is one of the dumbest things I have ever read.

There have been substantial driver improvements, architectural refinements and security updates since 10.6.5. Please remove your head from the sand.

If you hate the Mac App Store so much, the best thing you can do is to not use it rather than bitching here.

You should be able to install Lion over Snow Leopard with no problems.
