I have to report that going from Snow Leopard on a 2008 Macbook Pro with 4gb's of memory has been superb. I was hesitant but after I learned that Safari 5.0 was not updated in the last round of updates I figured support for Snow Leopard was about to end and I wanted to try Itunes radio and Icloud.
The best change so far is Safari, super fast, I have plenty of tabs open with no memory issues, so far I see no need for Chrome, on Snow Leopard Safari would frequently slow my computer down and often I had to force quit the safari content bar on the activity monitor.
It took me some time to figure out that in order to use my old me.com/icloud.com username I needed to make that my main computer icloud account by deleting my other apple id. Before I did that it would not let me use mail and kept asking me to choose an icloud username and rejected my me/icloud usrname as being already taken, if anyone is experiencing this, delete all of your internet accounts, open mail, and configure the me.com name you want to reactivate before adding any other apple id's.
Now I'm trying to see if it is possible to bring back my old Safari font settings:
Standard Font: Times 18
Fixed Width Font: Courier 13
It is not that the websites are unreadable it is only slightly smaller in font size but I wish I could get that old font size back, is this possible?
Thank you.
