Snow Leopard: Trash & Put Back

It seems to be working fine, but also seems as there are some limitations to what it can do.

So far I have noticed that it will not Put Back .zip files.

Can anyone else confirm this? And why would it not work with all file types?

Nope, .zip seems to work fine here.

What kind of zip files? Compressed via Finder or other ones?

.zip files moved directly to Trash after opening (using the Archives preference pane) don't have the Put Back option.

If I just delete the .zip file without opening it, it does have the Put Back option.

Seems the problem lies with the Archives pref pane.
