snow leopard up to date shipping

If i ordered standard shipping (free) from apple.com for the snow leopard uptodate program (sl for 9.95), will SL come the day it is released? Or will it come a few days later?

so if it ships on release day, it'll deliver a 5 days later? (i think thats what apples standard shipping is)
 
It seems to me when I did the 10.3 up to date program I got it a few days after it was actually released. I can't remember how many, but seems like it was somewhere in the 3-5 day range.

It all depends on how close you live to the shipping point. I did the same thing in Switzerland for 10.4 and 10.3 and it showed up on Wednesday both times, I think, after a Friday release. For Leopard, I think that some shipped on the 26th, but others were held off until the next Monday in America based on what I read (after all, that's all that gets discussed here anyway). It probably won't take any more than a week, though. For $10, there's not much room to pay for special shipping and whatnot.
 
But relax, 3 or 5 days is perfect for the people who install immediately to find any major issues like 10.3 erasing people's external hard drives. Gives you a little cushion for crazy stuff like that.
 
lol the reason i ask is cause im on vacation til the 29th, and i ordered this before the rumors started about SL shipping on the 28th. If i miss it, what happens?

pre-signing isnt an option

do u guys think their is going to be a massive line to get SL at apple stores? like the iphone 3G on July 2008? or many apple stores will have enough, or there will be enough, and no line at all? or just a very "busy day" at apple.

For leopard, i remember there were some lines at some apple stores
