We've been able to get more infos about Mountain Lion last WWDC. I am interested, how many people are thinking of upgrading to Apple's latest OS Mountain Lion this July and started this poll. Feel free to leave your comments below about your choice. :)

EDIT: Not fall... It meant to be July; I mixed it up with iOS 6. :D

I'll be switching to Mountain Lion. Can't think of any reason why I wouldn't. (Anyone have a good reason not to?)

From what I've read, if you are using Lion then going to Mountain Lion you should have no issues, however, I would wait for initial feedback or maybe the first patch before doing so. While the developer feedback is good, you never know what issues will crop up once you have millions of people installing and using Mountain Lion when it's released.

Also, you need to consider the applications you use. Do they all work correctly under Mountain Lion? Some will, some will need patches or upgrades.

If you are using Snow Leopard, some of the reasons that made you stick with it instead of moving to Lion may still apply.

Can't legally use an OS with Versions support without having to vape the hard drive every night, so I'm on Snow Leopard and will be staying there unless I can turn versions off. Period.

SL works best for me. It runs everything perfect and is screaming fast. Lion and ML have too much features I don't need or will never use in my life. In my case, I need the stability of SL for all my applications.

**** Leopard was the worst, what were they thinking? A **** leopard can't change its **** spots.

My SL to ML performance

I was running Lion, but was unhappy with the overall performance.
This evening I did a clean install of 10.6 and jumped to 10.8.

10.6 score on left. 10.8 score on right.

Honestly, the functionality makes up for the performance dip for me.

For me, the grid based Spaces in SL is more functional.

Also a Full-Screen mode that leaves a 2nd monitor to do other things is also more functional.

There are other issues with Lion/ML, but Apple seems to be making progress on restoring Expose, and "Save As...". Also, I'm not sure if there has been any progress on giving users more control over Resume, Versions or AutoSave.

I'll be staying with SL.
