Snow Leopard vs Lion

I did a fresh install of Lion on my Macbook but never got the chance to run Snow Leopard... should i downgrade with a fresh install of Snow Leopard? will it operate faster? is lion really meant for the "newer" laptops and i can't take advantage of any of the features that are in it? im just curious about the differences...what is nice is facetime on my macbook

Do whatever you want. Lion has new features, but Snow Leopard has been around a lot longer and therefore will have fewer bugs.
