Hi, I have a small issue.

I have a mid 2010 mac book pro, and I have been attempting to install a copy of windows XP. The install was successful, but whenever I try to run the snow leopard install DVD to get the drivers, I get an error message saying that I must have windows 7.

I am rather confused, as I have searched through the forums, and many solutions for installing XP on a Lion system rely on the use of a snow leopard install disc, which seems strange with my results.

I tried using an old leopard install disc, which worked, but the drivers seem too old for my mbp. I can't update sufficiently, because I only have bootcamp 2.1 from the leopard disc, I need 3.2, but 3.0 is apparently contained only on a snow leopard install DVD.

Do I just have to break down and get windows 7, or is there something I can do?
