Will the Unibody Macbook Pro be fully supported by 64bit Snow Leopard, or will we have to wait for a different processor such as Intel i7! Thanks for your time!

Yeah it is 64-bit. Seems like the unibody macbooks and macbook pro's have been made for snow leopard, with the powerful gpu and things.

All Intel macs will be supported by snow leopard. PPC was up in the air last I heard.

I hope Snow Leopard is good

I wonder what the costs will be to support 32-bit Intel. I hope it doesn't mean longer testing and bloated unclean code (Yellow Snow Leopard). Maybe it won't be that bloated with 32-bit legacy code all mixed in with tons of hacks to get some 64-bit goodness mixed in with 32-bit orphan ware.

so you're saying that the new MacBook in aluminum, is made for the Snow Leopard?

Any mac you can buy in a store right now will support snow leopard, including the legacy white macbook and clearance old MBP's. Maybe BAM is left out with 32-bit Intel Core Duo, maybe he's not. We'll see how that goes. I'm pullin for ya, BAM; it will have to support 32-bit applications anyway. I think I have a whole one 64-bit app running regularly on my mac, according to the system monitor...

Source? Other than rumours?

Source for much of anything about Snow Leopard, aside from the extremely limited blurb regarding timing and major features Apple has released? What's the point of a thread like this? No one knows for sure. Most of us would be shocked if any C2D Mac would not support Snow Leopard. For the early Core Duo / Core Solo Macs, no one can be sure, although they at least definitely are not going to be executing 64 bit instructions.... But then we really don't even know with certainty that late PPCs won't be supported.

Essentially everything about Snow Leopard is a rumor....
