I read that Snow Leopard will introduce new technologies that will allow the GPU to be used for general processing. I was wondering if that will cause the computer to graphically lag during times of high CPU usage.

If that did happen, would that stress my 8600M GT? I'm a bit cautious now considering I dropped my notebook essentially voiding any warranty.
It will certainly make use of the GPU from what I have read regarding this. Whether it stresses it or not is entirely dependent on what you use your computer for.
Although I don't see why stressing it is such an issue.
