The $29 price is for the upgrade from leopard if that's what you're asking. I believe it's an all inclusive OS that will go on any Intel Mac.

Here's the thing: $29 if you HAVE Leopard.

You have an Intel Mac - So, SnowLeopard will work. But as you have Tiger, you have to buy the complete OS (Retail version).

UPGRADE WILL NOT WORK FOR YOU.

thanks very much for that, I think in view of that I may go for a new 13'' MacBook Pro at the end off the year, and it will then have Snow Leoperd on it.
