I was reluctant to upgrade from the stable Tiger world, primarily for fear that my iMovie HD (06) would become useless. The Apple store rep told me it's not a problem, so I took the plunge..... and I've experienced some problems.

iMovie HD projects previously created have the timing all messed up. The program launches fine and looks fine, but when I play back an old project, I discover that the voice over timing is off, and the in and out timing of all the stills and photos I have in my project are way off. For some reason it seems Snow Lep isn't processing the stills and photos in the same way. It's a bummer, because I use a lot of them in my projects, and now the narration timing is off too.

I even tried creating a fresh project in iMovie HD to see if I could at least do a new one in Snow Lep. Again, problems with stills and photos, and timing of voice over between clips when I use stills and photos. Also, my plug in effects aren't exactly spot on.

Does anyone know a fix for this...or am I just destined to figure out if iMovie 09 will do everything I want?? I got iLife 09 in the box set, but haven't installed yet.

What I want iMovie to do is be able to handle my sports highlight clips, my voice over of training comments, title slides and stills between video clips, and also the ability for me to use a video effect like a circle or arrow to identify the players to focus on. I create training videos for game officials, and if I could get iMovie to do what I need....bye bye iMovie HD.

Again, anyone with a fix for my current iMovie HD issue, or anyone with knowledge about iMovie 09 plug ins and capabilities??
