You saying they look the same in direct sunlight?Coming from a Ceramic S5 to the S6 the brightness is a disappointment. I also don’t notice the speed improvements either...
It doesn’t look 2.5x brighter in sunlight that’s for sure. You saying they look the same in direct sunlight?
The difference isn’t in speed but, rather it responds smoother. It isn’t significantly noticeable though.Coming from a Ceramic S5 to the S6 the brightness is a disappointment. I also don’t notice the speed improvements either...
Remember that human perception tends to be logarithmic, so it could be 2.5x linearly yet perceived differently. It doesn’t look 2.5x brighter in sunlight that’s for sure.
Shouldn’t look any different indoors. The change is the S6 has a higher limit before it maxes out. Until the ambient is bright enough that the S6 AOD hits maximum, they should appear the same.It doesn’t seem super bright indoors but I went for a run today and it was sunny out, and the display looked great.
Not sure if this is relevant but i installed the ios watch update on my S5 and the screen seems dimmer even in the dark, i can barely read the text. Wasnt that bad before even with all the brightness settings turned up. Maybe apple made the older models dimmer to make it seem the new models are brighter.

I don’t yet have an S6 but the various photos seem to show a clear difference.
